Bring the license plates, registration codes, vehicle registration card and mileage. The buyer brings a valid ID document.
Receive Your Proof of Discharge
You receive the proof of discharge, the buyer gets the export document. The car is deregistered from the RDW. All done in 15 minutes.

Export Insurance: When Is It Needed for Your Car?
When selling your car for export, you can choose whether the buyer only needs the export document, or whether export insurance with export license plates is also required. This depends on how the buyer will transport the car to its destination country.
When does the buyer need export insurance?

No MOT (APK) Required to Sell Your Car for Export
A common question we receive is whether your car needs a valid MOT inspection (known as APK in the Netherlands) before it can be exported. The answer is no. You do not need a valid APK to sell your car for export. The vehicle does not need to be roadworthy for the export document to be prepared. This means you can also export cars that have failed their inspection or have an expired APK.
The only requirement is that the car must be registered with the RDW and have valid license plates. As long as these conditions are met, we can prepare the export document at our office in Hengelo within 15 minutes.
