Export Document
An export document is an official RDW document that allows a vehicle to be exported from the Netherlands to another country. This document is required to register the vehicle in the destination country.
At Auto Export Document, the export document is prepared on the spot by our RDW-recognized team. The entire process takes a maximum of 15 minutes. After completion, the Dutch seller receives a proof of discharge and the foreign buyer receives the official export document.
Export Insurance with Export License Plates
When the vehicle is being driven to another country, it is mandatory to have export insurance with export license plates. Without this insurance and plates, driving the vehicle on public roads is not permitted.
The export insurance is valid for 2 weeks and covers the vehicle for the journey to the destination country. The export license plates are issued to you immediately, so you can leave the same day.
Is the vehicle being transported on a trailer or flatbed? Then only the export document is required and export insurance is not mandatory.
Complete Export Package - Vehicle Deregistration with the RDW
The complete package includes everything you need: the export document, the export insurance (valid for 2 weeks) and the export license plates. Ideal if you are driving the vehicle to its destination abroad.

Export Insurance & License Plate Extension
Need more time? The export insurance can be extended by an additional 2 weeks. This is useful if the journey to the destination country takes longer than expected or if there are delays along the way.
For the extension, you need the export document and a valid ID. The extension is processed immediately.
