How the EX-A Export Process Works
Step-by-step guide for exporting your vehicle outside the European Union with all required documents.
Export Procedure
- 1Get the RDW export document at our office (EUR 50, 15 min)
- 2We refer you to a customs broker for the EX-A
- 3Broker files the export declaration via the AGS customs system
- 4You receive an MRN number (Movement Reference Number)
- 5Show MRN at the border; customs registers the exit
What You Receive From Us
- Buyer receives: RDW export document, white NL export license plates, export insurance
- Seller (NL) receives: Official discharge certificate - you are immediately released from vehicle liability
VAT Refund Possible
When exporting outside the EU, you may reclaim VAT. The EX-A with exit confirmation serves as proof.
